LP Stitch: Vintage Belly Dance Postcard Trio

Between launching Gig-Ready Jazz Bassist and preparing for an upcoming move, it’s been taking me a lot longer to finish my beloved LP Stitch projects. As a change of pace, this project is based on a series of vintage (I’m guessing late 19th- or early 20th-century) belly dance postcards.

When I was younger, I got really into belly dance, took a bunch of classes, and even did a bunch of research projects on it in grad school. I had a printout of the one on the far left hanging on my wall for many years. I decided to see if I could find three to do a trifecta and discovered the other two – which I think are both from the same series of photos as the first.

With preparing to move, the cross-stitch bug is starting to bite again. To me, bare walls are just begging to be hung with as many homemade creations as possible. Stay tuned for other upcoming projects (although I make no guarantees as to how soon they will be done).
